Perfect Day!

Beautiful weather and morning coffee at The Grove with my friend and business associate, Gia, to brainstorm on an idea that if it comes to fruition will help San Francisco's economic development, business and residents (now there's a novel thought!) - but more on that later.

Chock full of ideas and caffeine we decided to continue brainstorming with a stroll up Fillmore Street where I noticed a new shop getting ready to open at 2123 Fillmore - a few store fronts up from Fillmore & California - "ground zero" of the Upper Fillmore district.

So I popped in to have a look and met proprietor, Amanda Michael (see photo), sleeves rolled up and putting the final touches on "Jane" her new store that will open on Monday.

Bringing the boutique coffee experience to the north side of town, "Jane" will source her beans from Four Barrel and offer house made baked goods in the morning, and then quick service soup, salads and sandwiches for lunch.

So on behalf of myself and Gia (who I speak for without direct authorization but am willing to take that risk), we wish "Jane" great success. It has always been entrepreneurs such as Amanda Michael who have made the City what it is - in good times and not so good times!
